Nearly one third of all unimmunised children live in India

India currently has 6.8 million of the 18.5 million under-immunised children in Gavi-supported countries. As of 2014, India and the Vaccine Alliance have joined forces for an unprecedented national scale-up of the 5-in-1 pentavalent vaccine.
