Beth Arthy

Head of Global Funds, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), United Kingdom

Beth Arthy is the Head of Global Funds at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). She is also FCDO’s Senior Health Representative in Geneva.

Ms Arthy joined the UK’s Department for International Development in 2000 and she has held senior multilateral, policy and board positions across a wide range of sectors and geographical areas. She has worked in East and Southern Africa and the Middle East, most recently as Country Director in Tanzania.

Before joining the UK civil service, Ms Arthy worked with several development and environmental NGOs. Ms Arthy has an MPhil in Environment and Development from the University of Cambridge, and an MA in History from the University of Edinburgh.
